the small object

it's raining and i can't muster up the strength to do the work i should be doing, so instead i am posting this, my fourth, post in one day. i need to pull it together. but benefit from my inability to focus and go enjoy the above stamps at the small object. the designs, by sarah neuburger, are really quite fun. i especially like the below "thumbprint chart of ABC's," which, at only $18, would make a great addition to any nursery or playroom, i just don't know anyone with young kids...

flickr find: royal chicken

in my on-going quest for images for my "a flickr a day" i came across royal chicken who is a collector of photographs like me. only she collects them from other places on the inter-web and puts them on her flickr, where as i collect them on flickr and put them on my blog.

business cards!

we now have a business card design(!): we're almost a real business...

oh joy!

so in the whole month that i've been writing this blog, i've mentioned joy here a few times, okay, maybe more than a few times, but here's the deal, i love joy's blog. i think it's adorable. i think she's adorable, and her blog enlightens me to some of the most fantastic design and fashion finds on the web. so go forth: read her blog, visit her website, enjoy her amazingness.

3191

i try not to copy other blogger's posts whenever possible, but i couldn't resist passing this on due to its overtly photographic content: i found out about this blog from joy (of {oh joy!}):

friends stephanie, of little birds, and mav, of port2port, have created a visual blog entitled: "3191, a year of mornings" in which every day for a year they will each document their mornings independently of eachother (they live 3191 miles apart) and post the resulting photos on the blog effectively creating a unique diptych every morning. i can't help but recognize a touch of melencholy in the project; i keep turning 'mornings' into its homonym, 'mournings', in my head.

claire kramer

claire kramer's blog is such a visual treat. with her delicate imagery and soft color palette, claire's documentation of her life creates, for me, a modern day fairytale. her visual vocabulary (including sheep, shadowy trees, and foggy landscapes) makes me think of the misty london of j.m. barrie.
